High and Dry
Snapped while taking the long way home from the 'Wild Goose' run in Beaver Dam, the yearly kickoff ride for all the BMW clubs of Wisconsin.
Yes, it is near water. A creek is hidden on the left, but it would have to be one mighty big flood to get that trailer wet! I believe this was on County E, north of town. April 2006

Dugway Road - along Mississippi River
Fall ride in October 2006. Dugway Road, between Bagley and Glen Haven, one of my favorites. It's 3.5 miles of gravel with no connecting roads. Can be mushy during spring or fall, but not today. Rock outcrop goes half way over the road, so you drive right under it!
Great views of the Mississippi River, especially when there are less leaves on the trees. Cliffs on one side, drop offs and railroad tracks on the other. Not a good rode for two trucks to meet on, but plenty of room for two cycles!

Bay Shore County Park : Lake Michigan
Hi! I'm Jim Harms.
My blog name 1100RT97 refers to my 1997 BMW R1100RT motorcyle.
On my way to Sturgeon Bay for a wedding, I stopped at Bay Shore Park in Brown County. It is only a few miles south of Wisconsin's Door County, just off Highway 57. The 'thumb' part of the state. :)
Stay to the left, via a large cut through the rocks, to get down to the shore. You'll be greeted by great views of Lake Michigan!
The next day, it rained steady for the trip home. The BMW's fairing and adjustable windshield propelled most of it, but I still got plenty of stings on my face due to my three-quarter helmet. Shortly afterward, I purchased a full-faced white flip up. Makes a world of difference. June 2006
